National Sports Day 2025 from August 29 to 31

25th August 2025

Maharaja Agrasen University is proud to mark National Sports Day 2025, honoring the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand. From August 29 to 31, the campus will spring into vibrant life with a series of athletic events, fitness challenges, and community gatherings. This three-day festival embodies the spirit of the “Ek Ghanta, Khel Ke Maidan Mein” campaign, encouraging everyone to embrace at least one hour of play or fitness each day.

Highlights to look forward to:

  • Opening Ceremony (August 29): A salute to Major Dhyan Chand’s contributions, featuring inspiring speeches and perhaps a torch-lighting homage followed by the Fit India Pledge.

  • Midday Momentum (August 30): A bustling day of interdepartmental sports, Debates, fitness workshops, and motivational talks by athletes—designed to energize and unite.

  • Community Games (August 31): Inclusive and fun sporting activities that engage students, faculty, and staff—celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and joy in movement.

Across the three days, the university will uphold the values of excellence, friendship, respect, and—especially in inclusive sporting events—the Paralympic ideals of courage, determination, inspiration, and equality.
