Maharaja Agrasen University was established in 2013 with the vision to deliver value-based education to produce professional leaders. The University aspires to fulfil its mission to prepare students to be life-long learners with strong analytical, leadership skills and above all groom good human beings. In its endeavour towards excellence in teaching and research with the overall development of the society, the faculty, students and staff are creatively and actively engaged in scholarly activities of relevance to the community at large. Committed to the cause of holistic development, the University endeavours to foster equality, initiative, integrity and excellence while maintaining the highest levels of consciousness, civility and humility. Within a very short span of time, the University emerged as a centre of excellence in teaching and learning. In compliance with the standards stipulated by various agencies, the University participates in accreditation and assessment processes. As a consequence, in the first cycle in 2019, the University got accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC).
Institution’s Innovation Council-MAIT (MAU) was established in 2018 and conferred an excellent star rating by AICTE-MHRD based on excellent performance. IIC-MAIT (MAU) has been selected as the only mentor institution in Himachal Pradesh in 2021 for Central University of Himachal Pradesh, UIET-HPU Shimla, DCRUST Murthal, MMU Mullana (Ambala); and Global Institute of Technology Jaipur. IIC-MAIT (MAU) was again selected as a mentor in 2023 for UIET-HPU Shimla, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University Ferozpur, Lyalpur Khalsa Institute of Technology Jalandhar, Gulzar Group of Institutions Ludhiana and Global Institute of Technology Jaipur. The university has also been recognized amongst the top five institutions in India by the Ministry of Education at NEP-IIC event on July 29, 2023 held at Bharat Mandapam.
The University is situated in a pollution-free environment of the Shivalik foothills near Kasauli. It is easily accessible from Chandigarh (30 Km), Panchkula (21 Km), Kalka (10 Km), and Pinjore (12 Km).
